1. PET/PET (polyethylene terephthalate)

PET/PET is often used for mineral water bottles, beverage bottles, oil bottles, medicine bottles, etc. It has good transparency and is often used as food packaging material. But because heat resistance is not good, it is easily deformed when used at high temperature, and may release toxic substances, so it cannot be used for hot drinks, and it is not recommended to use it repeatedly. Toxic substances may also be precipitated after repeated use.
After PET/PET is recycled, it cannot be used for processing and production of bottles for food packaging. It is mainly used to make products from polar fleece or fiber, which are used in textiles, carpets, life jackets, sleeping bags, shoes. , luggage, auto parts, storage boxes, winter coats and other products.
2. PE (polyethylene)

Polyethylene can be divided into high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene and linear low-density polyethylene based on molecular weight and chain structure. Common low-density polyethylene products include agricultural film, industrial packaging film, garbage bags, pharmaceutical packaging film , cable insulation, coating, synthetic paper, etc.
Common HDPE products include: detergent bottles, shampoo bottles, detergent bottles, shower gel bottles, plastic toys, ropes, pipes, braided fibers, etc. Common LPE products low density are: stretch film, plastic bags, etc.
After recycling, polyethylene materials can be used to make wood-plastic panels, fences, covers, non-food bottles, plastic buckets, wires and cables, trash cans, etc.
Polyethylene materials are widely used in everyday life, and manufactured products can be recycled and reused many times. However, the annual recycling rate of polyethylene products in China is only about 12%.
3. PVC (polyvinyl chloride)

PVC will add various additives during production, so products produced contain some substances harmful to human body. However, PVC is still one of most used plastic materials in world due to its low price and wide range of applications. Common PVC products include: water pipes, shower curtains, furniture films, decorative materials, clothing, etc.
The annual recovery rate of PVC materials is about 1%, which is very low. Recycled PVC can be used to make wood-plastic floors, skirting boards, wire sheaths, billboards, rollers, roll-up doors, gloves, decorative items, etc.
4. PP (polypropylene)

The polypropylene material itself is characterized by high density, no side chains and excellent complex characteristics. Medicine bottles, etc. The heat resistance of PP material can reach over 100 degrees, and it is only plastic product that can be heated in a microwave oven. Recycled polypropylene materials will not be used for food processing and are often recycled into products such as brushes, hangers and battery cases.
5. PS (polystyrene)

PS, often referred to as expanded polystyrene, is a colorless and transparent thermoplastic that is often used to make disposable containers or disposable Styrofoam lunch boxes. PS common products include: styrofoam disposable coffee cups, styrofoam lunch boxes, instant noodle boxes, etc. Recycled polystyrene products are mainly used in thermal insulation materials, flower pots, toys, various appliance shells, lampshades and other products.
6. PC (polycarbonate)

PC has now become fastest growing general purpose engineering plastic among top five engineering plastics. It has characteristics of weak acid resistance, weak alkali resistance and neutral oil resistance. Recycled polycarbonate materials can be used in oil pump. dials, car dashboards, sockets, plugs, bushings, gaskets, hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, refrigerator shelves, junction boxes, door frame covers and other products.
Although food-grade polycarbonate materials are safe and non-toxic, according to research, BPA can precipitate after long-term use, which is why some high-quality water glasses no longer use polycarbonate materials. it is recommended to use polycarbonate cups to hold water. Pour boiling water over.

The above is classification of common plastic products. In addition to above-mentioned widely used plastic materials, there are many other materials in plastic products, such as ABS, POM, PU, PF, PETG, GAG, etc. .
